Welcome!
I write children’s books from my home in suburban Los Angeles. An active member of SCBWI, 12X12, and Storyteller’s Academy, I’m working hard to break into traditional publishing.
The writing community offers lots of resources and tremendous support, but there’s also a lot of rejection. So lest I forget to celebrate wins: I’ve written thirty-plus picture book texts for an educational app. My manuscripts earned prizes at regional SCBWI conferences: First Runner Up (Picture Books) at LA’s Writers’ Day 2024, and Most Promising Picture Book at CenCal Writers’ Day 2020. You can find my YA short story “Superpower” in Sucker Literary Anthology Volume 3 (G + G Books, 2014).
On the personal side, I am happily married with three kids and two grandchildren. No dog right now, but we’re tempted to rescue again. In previous lives I taught elementary school, both in the classroom and as a home/hospital teacher, and designed databases at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
